Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, organizes, and evaluates the activities and operations of the quality group for the filtration division (AES).
  2. Writes quality procedures and work instructions and maintains the master documents in a filing system that ensures retrieval when necessary.
  3. Review quality issues with production and assist in determining potential impact based on knowledge of application.
  4. Interfaces with sales representatives or customer when required to gather additional information or advice of quality issues for possible deviation acceptance.
  5. Provide input on corrective measure to be taken and provide clarification on product requirements when required from production.
  6. Responsible for disposition non-conforming material and maintaining non-conformance log.
  7. Review non-conforming results from lab and disposition based on knowledge of application and performance requirements, consulting with sales reps or customer as required.
  8. Managing the Non-Conformance program for the filtration division, and meeting target KPI’s annually.
  9. Supervise and manage QA Technician and indirectly oversee the Quality Inspectors for the filtration division.
  10. Responsible for scheduling necessary calibrations (Instron, gauge blocks), creating/modifying Instron test methods and maintaining calibration schedule for in-house calibrations on measuring equipment.
  11. Maintain quality assurance manual and related documents; identify areas for improvement and updates based on new or obsolete products and processes.
  12. Coordinate and conduct internal quality audits. Review activities and process outputs throughout organization to ensure compliance with internal (QMS) as well as ISO9001 requirements
  13. Develops and maintains project plans to support all quality programs and implementation for the filtration division.
  14. Oversees the execution of all quality activities such as sample bag creation, dirty bag lab testing and reports, incoming material inspection and reporting.
  15. Backup resource for Quality Technician.
Qualifications

Education Essential:

  • Completion of a University Degree, Industrial Engineering is an asset.

Knowledge Essential:

  • 5+ years of experience working with industrial lab equipment.
  • Proficient working knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient working knowledge of quality management systems.
  • 5+ years of experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Ability to operate lab equipment.
