$100K - $125KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
Seeking an experienced Engineer to join our Commercial Engineering team. Reporting to the Director of Design, you will provide engineering support for commercial curtain wall projects from concept through fabrication and installation. Working collaboratively with Designers, Project Managers, Production, and Field teams, you will ensure projects meet structural performance requirements, applicable building codes, manufacturability, and client specifications. This role is ideal for an engineer with direct curtain wall engineering experience who enjoys developing innovative façade solutions while supporting technically challenging commercial projects.
- Perform engineering analysis and structural calculations for commercial curtain wall systems
- Design and review curtain wall components and anchorage systems
- Review shop drawings and fabrication documentation for technical accuracy
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and project specifications
- Provide technical support to Design, Production, and Installation teams
- Resolve engineering issues during fabrication and construction
- Participate in Design Assist, value engineering, and new system development initiatives
- Support continuous improvement of engineering standards and design practices
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of engineering experience specifically designing commercial curtain wall systems
- Strong understanding of curtain wall engineering, façade systems, aluminum Curtain systems, and anchorage design
- Experience performing structural calculations using applicable Canadian and North American building codes
- Experience reviewing shop drawings and supporting fabrication and installation teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
