Dispatch Assistant

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule Coordination: Assist in planning and scheduling shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, clients, and suppliers, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and driver logs in our dispatch system.
- Documentation: Prepare and review necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any logistical issues, such as delays or route changes, in a timely manner.
- Tracking Shipments: Monitor the status of shipments and communicate updates to relevant parties.
- Support Team: Assist the dispatch team with administrative tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with dispatch software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
