Description

This Director reports directly to the President and CEO and plays vital role within Canada’s Management Team in assessing business opportunities and evolving the company’ strategy.

The leadership role primarily focuses on the following responsibilities:

  • Performance & Readiness (Retail Facilities and Training) : Achievement of Canada’s Operational Objectives across the Dealer network by developing and implementing activities that support the realization of Canada’s Strategy.  This includes national responsibilities to measure, understand and create actions to improve Brand and Dealer Performance.
  • Business Evolution: Overseeing the Business Development team, the department also provides Canada the framework and roadmap to evolve our business in the future, which includes modern retail,  omni-channel customer experience strategy, strategic transformation project management, and data-based business intelligence.
  • The position represents Business Development for Canada and is key liaison for Department with:
  • ( Network Development, Risk Management, Business Partner Due Diligence, MAT, Dealer Financial Controlling & Business Management, Training, People Development , Canada Management Team, Current and future Dealership investors and their teams
  • Legal department regarding Importer Agreements, Distribution Guidelines, Compliance requirements, Dealer Agreements, implications for Dealer Arbitration Program (NADAP), Competition Law, Buy-Sell Agreements, terminations
  • Dealer Standards development and assessment
  • Brand and Sales Reporting Audit process
  • Activations achievement rates
  • Dealer Advisory Council
  • Dealer Meetings
  • Financial Controlling for budget planning and execution
  • Purchasing
  • Third Party Vendors (Project Management, Architectural, Audit, Training, Market Research & Performance Reporting, Business Management & Dealer Consulting)
  • Leading Business Development management and staff in the understanding and execution of Canada’s Strategy through action development and implementation strategies to realize their achievement
  • Building the roadmap to evolve our business in the future, which includes modern retail, digital business portfolio and defining new business channels.
  • Align departmental strategies and actions with Canada Objectives and Strategic Initiative
  • Coordinate with Digital department to ensure our digital business portfolio supports our business objectives
  • Determine, evolve and action Market Coverage strategy
  • Lead process of assessing existing Dealer investors as well as potential new investors to build the benchmark premium automotive Dealer network
  • Ensure compliance with Dealer requirements for Corporate Image and Dealer Standards while aligning with Readiness approach in Canada,
  • Align activities and business practices of third party vendors to the needs of our business in terms of our objectives, customer experience, and dealer experience

Develop and continuously evolve:

  • Action-oriented Dealer performance measurement on business KPIs relevant to stated objectives, action plans and benchmarks
  • Dealer and Dealer Staff Recognition programs related to performance against stated objectives
  • People Development strategies for the Dealer Network to support employee recruiting and improved retention across the network the modern retail experience  in line with evolving customer needs
  • Product and Technology Training strategies delivering relevant content through variety of learning methods to sustain highly knowledgeable, customer-focused Dealership teams throughout the network
  • the Bonus and Margin systems to steer Dealership performance towards achievement of Canada strategic and operational objectives
  • Recruit and develop team members to enable fulfillment of their career objectives
  • Support the development of the Canada team through access to training and experiential learning suited to their role (such as Field Staff Qualification) and in support of fostering the establishment of the Culture across the company
  • Support to creation of inter-departmental processes which drive collaboration, consistency and efficiency in the way we approach and conduct our business
Qualifications
  • Required:  Bachelor’s Degree
    Asset: Master’s Degree
    Project Management, Adult/Continuous Education
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience required
