Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop effective brand strategies for company’s consumer and employer brands and review and adjust branding strategies as needed.
- Campaign planning, development and execution: Aligning with annual plan objectives, collaborate with marketing and communication teams to create compelling brand campaigns that drive awareness and engagement.
- Monitor the effectiveness of branding efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
- Manage the execution of branding campaigns across various channels, including digital and traditional.
- Own the execution and project management of brand projects in scope from writing compelling marketing briefs to flawless deployment of campaigns.
- Brand Expert: Acts as an advisor to Marketing and Communications counterparts, and the broader organization.
- Build effective cross-functional working relationships within Marketing and other key partners across the organization to drive best practices, shared learnings, and efficiencies informed by a deep understanding of customer and employee insights, brand positioning and business objectives, work with external advertising agencies, graphic design partners, and media sales to develop marketing creative in support of key initiatives, including reviewing media buys and contracts, and exploring innovative marketing opportunities.
- Oversee the development, distribution and implementation of company’s branded materials including campaigns and everyday marketing assets.
- Manage the associated marketing operational and capital budgets including annual planning, allocations and invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Campaign/Brand Reporting & Learning: Identify clear program KPIs and lead program reporting and assessment against those measures.
- Develop campaign post-mortems to share key learnings with the Marketing & Communications Centre of Excellence.
- Lead and manage the overall annual campaign and content calendar for effective message management, campaign deployment and channel integration.
- Perform ongoing research within the industry to stay current regarding industry activities.
- Review and analyze market and consumer research to better understand the needs and expectations of Canadian families.
- Work in conjunction with the department of Regulatory Affairs to ensure all marketing activities comply with Federal and Provincial laws and company policies.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Other duties may be assigned as required, in addition to the principal duties and responsibilities outlined above.
Qualifications
Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:
- Minimum college-level education in Brand Management or Advertising, Marketing, or Communications or related field; University education preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in marketing communications, with expertise in digital marketing, campaign development and project management.
- Agency experience considered an asset.
- Proficiency in working with agencies, external partners within established brand guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including copywriting.
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, manage and deliver multiple demands.
- Experience with online project management and campaign tools for streamlining workflows and on-time delivery of projects and campaigns.
- Self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to collaborate at all organizational levels.
