Description
- Partner closely with the Sales team to interpret project requirements and lighting specifications, recommending solutions that deliver value to customers while supporting margin objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations in line with company pricing policies, discount structures, freight terms, rebates, and conditions of sale.
- Cross-reference company products against competitor offerings to support competitive positioning and informed product selection.
- Coordinate with internal teams to confirm product costs, availability, logistics requirements, and lead times impacting project quotes.
- Work closely with Customer Service / Project Coordinators to meet customer needs and ensure all quoted commitments are followed.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to stay current on product offerings, market positioning, and customer segments.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve pricing strategies, discounting guidelines, and quoting processes.
- Track quotation outcomes to identify win/loss patterns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as required to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
- Experience with quotations in the lighting industry or another technical or electrical setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and commercial information.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with pricing and sales data.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency Microsoft Office tools.
- Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
