Description
- Job Overview:
- The Junior Financial Analyst position is responsible for developing and reviewing financial processes to improve financial management across the organization.
- Develop robust reports to monitor results, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and develop monthly, quarterly, annual and strategic plans.
- Responsible for real estate accounting (i.e. Purchase and sale, buybacks, discharges, valuations etc.)
- Present performance analysis to senior executives to ensure effective finance and cost management
- Lead periodic research projects related to proper treatment of new accounting and tax processes.
- General Accounting functions:
- Understand chart of accounts, department, project, cost and category codes
- Assist in external audit.
- Take ownership of routine internal and external inquiries involving budgeting, forecasting, journal entries, and other ad hoc requests.
- Any other duties/projects that may be assigned.
- Learn, understand and participate in the Health and Safety Program
Qualifications
- University or College degree or equivalent in accounting or commerce
- Demonstrated work experience in a financial analyst role.
- Team player with the strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced hybrid work environment
- Excellent computer skills with advanced skills in MS Office, EXCEL is a MUST
- Deadline oriented, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization, time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in professional business English, both written and spoken
