Compensation Range

$50K - $55K

Compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.

Description
  • Job Overview:
    • The Junior Financial Analyst position is responsible for developing and reviewing financial processes to improve financial management across the organization.
    • Develop robust reports to monitor results, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
    • Coordinate and develop monthly, quarterly, annual and strategic plans.
    • Responsible for real estate accounting (i.e. Purchase and sale, buybacks, discharges, valuations etc.)
    • Present performance analysis to senior executives to ensure effective finance and cost management
    • Lead periodic research projects related to proper treatment of new accounting and tax processes.
  • General Accounting functions:
    • Understand chart of accounts, department, project, cost and category codes
    • Assist in external audit.
    • Take ownership of routine internal and external inquiries involving budgeting, forecasting, journal entries, and other ad hoc requests.
    • Any other duties/projects that may be assigned.
  • Learn, understand and participate in the Health and Safety Program
Qualifications
  • University or College degree or equivalent in accounting or commerce
  • Demonstrated work experience in a financial analyst role.
  • Team player with the strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced hybrid work environment
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced skills in MS Office, EXCEL is a MUST
  • Deadline oriented, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization, time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in professional business English, both written and spoken
