Director of Sales
Compensation Range
$125K - $150KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
• Lead and execute the Canadian sales strategy across wholesale, retail, and distribution channels
• Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and market share expansion
• Monitor sales performance and adjust strategy based on market conditions and internal capacity
• Support pricing programs, rebates, and customer agreements (e.g., volume rebate programs)
2. Key Account Management
• Maintain and grow strategic relationships with major customers (e.g., Emco, Noble, Wolseley)
• Manage escalations related to supply, service levels, or order fulfillment
• Act as the primary commercial contact for high-value accounts

times
3. Channel & Territory Management
• Oversee sales agencies, reps, and territories across Canada
• Lead onboarding and transition of new agents and account assignments
• Manage account ownership structure, including house accounts and rep territories
➡ Evidence: Assignment and transition of Quebec sales agent and territory control decisions
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Align with operations and supply chain to manage customer expectations and service levels
• Collaborate with customer service on order issues, fulfillment challenges, and communication
• Partner with finance on pricing, rebates, and account performance
➡ Evidence: Coordination on order status, inventory impacts, and customer communication decisions
5. Customer Communication & Market Messaging
• Lead customer communications during operational changes (lead times, facility moves, etc.)
• Ensure consistent and proactive messaging to the market
• Support major announcements impacting customers
➡ Evidence: Participation in communications related to pickup policy changes and operational updates
6. Digital & Channel Expansion
• Oversee participation in digital marketplaces (e.g., Amazon Canada)
• Ensure compliance and account continuity for eCommerce channels
➡ Evidence: Management of Amazon Canada account verification and compliance requirements
7. Strategic Projects & Business Development
• Support growth initiatives including new distribution partnerships, product launches, and channel
expansion
• Participate in customer events and industry engagement activities
➡ Evidence: Coordination of industry/customer events and stakeholder engagement
8. Leadership & Team Development
• Lead and support internal sales and marketing resources
• Provide direction to sales development and support teams
• Build a high-performance, accountable sales culture
Qualifications
• 8–12+ years in sales leadership within manufacturing, distribution, or plumbing/HVAC industry
• Proven track record managing national accounts and channel sales in Canada
• Strong commercial acumen (pricing, margins, rebates, contracts)
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations and supply chain
• Demonstrated leadership managing teams and external sales agencies
