Director of Marketing
Compensation Range
$125K - $150KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
1. Marketing Strategy & Leadership
• Lead a unified, integrated marketing strategy across all Canadian and U.S. markets
• Position marketing as a strategic enabler of revenue growth and brand equity
• Align marketing plans with the company’s North American expansion goals and business priorities
• Report directly to the President and contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team[1]
2. Brand Management & Visual Identity
• Own and evolve the company brand across all channels and markets, ensuring consistency and differentiation
• Oversee trademark strategy and brand protection initiatives, including coordination with external legal counsel
• Manage physical brand presence including signage, corporate identity materials, and trade assets
• Maintain brand standards across all digital and print touchpoints in Canada and the U.S.
3. Digital Marketing & eCommerce
• Direct digital marketing strategy including website content, SEO, email marketing, and paid channels
• Oversee content management and digital marketing operations, including the Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator
• Lead eCommerce channel development and compliance, including Amazon Canada and emerging U.S. platforms[3]
• Ensure all online product information, warranty language, and terms are accurate and current
4. Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Execution
• Partner with sales and operations to develop go-to-market plans for new product launches and category changes
• Lead customer-facing communications on product introductions, discontinuations, and policy changes
• Develop product marketing materials, price lists, and distributor-facing collateral
• Support demand generation and channel enablement across wholesale, retail, and distribution
partners
5. Sales Alignment & Customer Engagement
• Build strong alignment between marketing and sales to drive pipeline growth and customer retention
• Support key account engagement through targeted campaigns, event participation, and co-marketing
• Bring forward market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer trends to inform commercial strategy
• Collaborate with the sales leadership team on North American market development
6. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, coach, and develop the marketing team, including the Digital Marketing & Content Coordinator
• Identify resourcing needs as the company grows and the marketing function scales
• Build a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative marketing culture
• Foster team resourcefulness and cross-functional partnership skills in a lean, growing organization
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and customer service to ensure marketing supports business execution
• Collaborate with the COO, VP Sales, and President on major business changes requiring market communication
• Serve as a trusted internal resource on market positioning, brand decisions, and communications strategy
Required
• 8–12+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record building and executing North American marketing strategies
• Experience in B2B and/or industrial, building materials, plumbing, or distribution sectors is a strong
asset
• Strong digital marketing acumen — website, SEO, eCommerce, social, and email
• Demonstrated ability to align marketing with sales to drive commercial results
• Experience managing brand identity and working with external creative and legal partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
• Experience in a manufacturer-distributor go-to-market model
• Familiarity with U.S. market entry or cross-border marketing programs
• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
