Compensation Range
$130K - $150KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of the business. You will be responsible for driving financial efficiency, ensuring attention to detail, and leading a dedicated team towards achieving our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in financial management, and a passion for delivering superior results.
- Overseeing Financial Operations:
The controller is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the company, including managing accounting staff, overseeing financial records, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting:
Responsible for preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Perform month end and year end closing procedures, including inter-company transactions
- Internal Controls:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining strong internal controls to reduce risk and safeguard company assets.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
Works with executives to create annual budgets/forecasts and track actual expenses against projections.
- Process Improvement:
Continually assesses current accounting operations, recommend improvements, and implement new processes.
- Compliance:
Ensures that the company is following all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements.
- Staff Management:
Leads the accounting staff and is responsible for direction and training of the team.
- Advisory Role:
Provide financial advice to senior management, helping them make informed business decisions.
- Strong accounting knowledge, with a thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations is essential.
- The ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations is crucial.
- As a manager, the controller needs to have strong leadership skills to be able to guide and motivate a team.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences is important.
- Accuracy and precision are essential in financial reporting.
- A minimum of 10 years experience, with advanced degree, such as an MBA, and/or professional accounting certifications, such as a CPA.
- Proven experience in a senior management role within a manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost control, and accounting best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer skills including ERP systems.
- Highly organized.
