Compensation Range
$40 - $50/hrCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
Description
- Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Installing stationary industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Operating machine and tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machines
- Participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement of all machines
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
- Maintain a clean and environmentally safe work area
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
A certified Millwright License is a must.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Demonstrate understanding of mechanical theories and principles
- Must have experience with Glass Fabrication machinery
- Perform assigned Preventative Maintenance and resolve issues
- Anticipating equipment, parts, and supply needs
- Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
- Forklift Licensed
- Operate overhead crane
- Able to operate scissor lift / Fall Arrest certified
- Mig / Tig welding experience
- PLC experience an asset
Communication Skills:
- Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-technical team members in a clear manner
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
- Work with different contractors, vendors/suppliers to complete tasks/projects
- Require oral and written communication skills and basic computer literacy
