Description

Responsibilities:

  • A minimum of three years of successful field sales rep experience.
  • A proven track record in increasing sales, improving sales volume, closing the sale on prospective business and resolving customer issues.
  • Experience working in the security products and services industry is desired.
  • Completed high school diploma. A University or College degree/diploma in Marketing or Business Administration is an asset.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com is an asset.
  • Intermediate or higher levels of literacy and proficiency with reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and persuade others effectively.
  • Able to drive own vehicle to make sales calls and conduct site visits in Ontario, primarily within the GTA.
  • Possess a valid Ontario driver’s license, vehicle insurance and maintain a clear driving record.
  • Must demonstrate strong levels of ethical judgment for handling confidential information and managing the sales cycle and selling process with integrity and professionalism.
  • Responsive and attentive to internal and external needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and handle stressful situations.
  • High levels of initiative. Able to work independently and be self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • High degree of comfort and capability in using the phone, electronic communication and conducting in-person sales calls, making presentations and asking for the sale.

Requirements:

Lead Generation

  • Prepares lead generation campaigns and action plans for events, regions and customers to proactively prepare and organize appropriate sales approach.
  • Creates new opportunities by cold calling, networking, asking for referrals, following leads, developing prospects and marketing efforts.
  • Proactively ensures sales funnel is consistently filled with high quality sales opportunities.

Customer Value Creation 

  • Creates and delivers sales presentations enabling customers to understand how products and services are best suited to their needs.
  • Assertively sources and responds to new opportunities. Makes significant effort to understand customer needs and priorities solutions effectively.

Customer Value Delivery

  • Develops and maintains a solid working knowledge of company and industry products and services. Positions self as a knowledgeable advisor for security services.
  • Services assigned accounts, provides written proposals, obtains and processes customer orders, assists with the planning and implementation of products and services and ensures customer delight
  • Identifies and resolves customer issues respectfully and responsively.
  • Communicates new products and services to existing customers.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and co-workers.
  • Actively collaborates with customers, suppliers and co-workers to deliver the greatest value to customers.

Vendor Administration

  • Work with Vendors (Subcontractors & Suppliers) to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Ensure vendors understand the specific requirements of each Job and all work is performed according to the agreed upon terms.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are received and delivered according to the agreed upon terms.
  • Approve all invoice received from vendors ensuring they match quotes and they have been billed to clients.
  • Ensure databases are update for the cost of all goods and services.

Sales Administration

  • Provides written reports, estimates, sales contracts, service agreements, activity updates and expense reports and performs other administrative duties accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Follows company guidelines for using price lists, company literature, logo, completing and submitting proposals, closing sales and initiating new projects.
  • Effectively uses company systems and software to track sales and customer activity.
  • Maintains files on customers, products, sales, industry and company information.
  • Supports Accounting procedures to assist with Accounts Receivables, Account Payables, payment schedules, credit applications and other needed activities.

Company

  • Works within company values, supports a positive workplace culture, acts as a team player and collaborates responsively and professionally with others.
  • Monitors the competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, product performance, new products and services and marketing techniques. Shares this information with the Sales Manager and others at company.

Perform other duties as required by Senior Management

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service throughout every project to the key stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional communications, conduct and appearance in all Internal and external contacts including vendor, client and employee facing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures as detailed in the employee handbook and all process manuals.
  • Ensure honestly and integrity in all dealings and conduct business in alignment with company values.
  • Work within company values, support a positive workplace culture, act as a team player, and collaborate responsively and professionally with others.
