Business Development Manager

Description
Responsibilities:
- Research, identify, initiate and nurture relationships to develop potential new business leads
- Manage a high volume of outbound calls to warm marketing lists to uncover qualified opportunities
- Manage pipeline data in a sales database; analyze market opportunities and target prospects
- Lead consultative discussions with staffing company owners and C-level executives to target and convert leads into prospects
- Consultative introductory discussions with independent recruiters and recruiting firms to target and convert leads into prospects
- Ability to knowledgeably speak to industry trends, changes, and challenges with senior level business owners
- Understand company resources and strengths and collaborate with internal team members to develop and sell solutions that address customer’s objectives
- Develop sales strategies, create cost analyses/proposals for business owners, and provide detailed sales forecasts
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to VPBD and other company leaders
- Demonstrate a successful track record of managing a B2B sales cycle from beginning to close
- Work closely and collaboratively with internal departments and SME’s, such as, Finance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing and Operations
- Strong ability to review and negotiate complex contracts for terms and financial components, in partnership with Legal Department
- Leverage data to drive and adapt go-to-market strategies and tactics that drive profitable growth
- Utilize market and client research to provide strategic insight for brand development and market positioning
- Develop trusting relationships
- Present solutions and lead proposal meetings, including developing presentations and delivery of proposal meetings
- Close deals in size from start-ups (independent recruiters) to multimillion-dollar companies with existing headcount transition
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management or relevant field
- 5 – 7 years of business-to-business sales experience with a successful track record
- Experience communicating with business owners and executives of small to mid-sized businesses
- Experience selling a service solution
- Self-motivated with prior successful experience in sales of an intangible
- Prior experience in a B-to-B services business, preferably in outsourcing or professional services, ideally in staffing, recruiting or similar workforce solutions
- Knowledge of staffing industry, software & technology
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating complex contracts, in partnership with finance and legal partners
- Experience utilizing technology and analytics as an integral part of the sales execution and management process
- Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to lead teams through transformational change and integration
- Engaging, articulate professional, with solid organizational and time management skills, persuasiveness, problem-solving skills, articulate and possess good writing skills
- Ability to travel overnight within the U.S. up to 20% of time or potentially relocate
