Compensation Range

Description
- Monthly bank reconciliations preparation and securing managerial approval
- Monthly account reconciliations – preparing and securing approval, organizing back up
- Cheque verification
- Journal Entries – preparing posting and organizing
- Inventory maintenance, analyzing and clean up.
- Inventory Item maintenance, analysis and clean up
- Inventory item, standard cost review.
- Preparing and maintaining payroll databases
- Analyzing payroll for accuracy
- GST, HST and CARM filing
- Registration of all machine sales to maintain security (title and ownership) PPSA
- Reviewing bank statement for CAD and US accounts daily
- Tracking machine payments for our suppliers (Matsuura and Nakamura lines)
- Process payments for Matsuura and Nakamura machines
- Process payments for Matsuura and Nakamura spare parts
- Verify employee expense reports for expenses and tax breakdown
- Control of spindle inventory and invoicing
- Year end analysis.
- Audit schedules for auditors
- Ad hoc projects
Back up Duties
- Back up to AP clerk when on vacation, urgent items / cheques
- Back up to AR clerk when on vacation, bank deposits, bank balances, exchange rates
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- Strong hands-on accounting skills with the ability and willingness to handle day-to-day transactional and administrative accounting duties.
- Sage experience is highly preferred, with strong Excel and ERP/accounting systems knowledge considered an asset.
