Description
An Order Desk Clerk processes incoming customer orders via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring accuracy in pricing, inventory, and shipping details. They serve as a primary contact for order status inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and support sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Processing: Receive, verify, and enter orders into the company system accurately.
- Customer Support: Handle phone/email inquiries, provide quotes, and manage order status updates.
- Inventory & Logistics: Track stock levels and coordinate with warehouses for timely shipping.
- Documentation: Prepare invoices, confirmations, and shipping documents.
- Lead Hand – Problem Resolution: Address complaints regarding orders, such as damaged goods, delays, or incorrect items. Be the go to person for more junior team members
