We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role will focus on optimizing our logistics processes and operations across the company. Reporting to the Director of Warehousing Operations, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing warehouse activities, ensuring efficient operations, and leading efforts to improve overall productivity and service quality.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, and shipping.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain accuracy and meet customer.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to improve workflow and reduce operational.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental.
- Lead, train, and support warehouse staff, including providing guidance, feedback, and performance.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, to align warehouse operations with business.
- Address and resolve operational issues, including equipment maintenance and inventory.
- Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, progress towards goals, and operational.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
- Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of warehouse.
- Manage warehouse budgets, including monitoring expenditures and controlling.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and warehouse processes to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Facilitate communication between warehouse staff and other departments to ensure alignment and effective problem-solving.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or equipment to enhance warehouse operations and productivity.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols for warehouse incidents.
- Ensure effective onboarding and training programs for new employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to support safety and efficiency.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align warehouse operations with broader company goals.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), SAP and MS Office applications.
- Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data effectively.
- Hands-on approach with a commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in optimizing warehouse processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and space optimization strategies.
