VP of Personal Lines Insurance Ontario
Salary/Compensation
$180K - $200K• Be responsible for Talent Management within the region; ensuring the team is executing upon attraction, recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies.
• Take an active role in ensuring the ongoing development of employees; ensure team and individual goals are set, coaching and feedback is being provided consistently and leaders are identifying career development opportunities based on interests and strengths.
• Ensure there is an increased presence in the branches and communities, with minimum monthly visits by the sales leadership team and a regular (weekly) cadence to sales meetings.
• Participate, collaborate, and contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership team to provide input into and then execute upon the strategic plan. Lead the development of the Region’s annual business plan(s) complete with sales targets and tactics that will meet or exceed the budget for personal lines.
• Work closely with the Mergers & Acquisitions team and newly acquired businesses on the successful transition and integration to company. Act as the Leadership point of contact in your region for leaders of newly acquired businesses to answer questions, navigate issues and provide support for at least the first 6 to 12 months.
• Build client loyalty and retention with initiatives that promote a deeper penetration and share of the customers’ wallet.
• Brand promotion – for example, capturing google reviews with a focus on elevating scores to attract new clients and employees.
• Review and monitor key performance metrics on a regular basis, working with Managers to implement actions to address deficiencies and amplify successes.
• Promote the achievement of a strong, proactive advisory based sales and service culture through motivational leadership, communication, and coaching.
• Accountable for profitability within the Region by ensuring sales targets are met, teams are effectively managing salary budgets and forecasting of resourcing requirements.
• Provide guidance and regular coaching to Regional Managers on communication strategies and implementing programs and initiatives effectively.
• Demonstrate collaboration with other lines of business through reciprocity of referrals to lead to new members, customers, and product sales.
• Identify and develop strategies related to competitive, environmental and industry trends that may impact marketing position and customer satisfaction; set direction; focus resources and execute plans to develop and grow the business.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with key business partners, primarily, the Insurance companies through which the company writes business.
• Maintain a high level of current industry knowledge and actively participate in professional associations related to insurance such as Insurance Brokers Associations, staying at the forefront of the profession.
• Travel as required
• Preference for a Level 3 General Insurance License or willingness to obtain if previous transferable experience from applicable business environment
• Industry designation preferred (CAIB, CIP, FCIP)
• Minimum 10 years of front-line sales & service management
• Minimum 10 years of senior leadership
• Experience managing business and / or cultural transformation projects
• Experience leading the enhancement of client service excellence
• Strong understanding of change management
• Experience in contributing to strategic direction and implementing plans / actions as it relates to achieving overall revenue, profit, and employee engagement goals
• Experience collaborating with various business leaders and problem solving
