Total Rewards Specialist (12 Month Contract)

Description
  • Administer and support group benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, and disability plans.
  • Manage group RRSP and pension program processes, including employee communications and vendor coordination.
  • Support annual merit and bonus cycles, ensuring accurate data handling and alignment with compensation philosophy.
  • Conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking to support salary recommendations and internal equity.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and promote transparency through equity and fairness, contributing to audits and reporting.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders to provide compensation guidance and support workforce planning.
  • Maintain and validate compensation and benefits data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist in the development and communication of total rewards policies and procedures.
  • Participate in total rewards projects and initiatives that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Monitor trends and best practices in compensation and benefits to inform program improvements.
Qualifications

Education

  • Required: College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or related field
  • CHRP or CCP designation or working towards certification is an asset

 Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in total rewards roles within the Ontario employment landscape
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Group benefits administration
    • Group RRSP and pension programs
    • Merit and bonus program cycles
    • Pay equity compliance and job evaluations
    • Salary benchmarking and recommendations
