Temporary Warehouse Supervisor

$26.00 per hour

• Ensures that product is picked, checked, packed and shipped according to established standards and procedures.
• Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized and efficient work area.
• A good understanding of work procedures, work schedules and workflow, assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Accurate and timely reporting and record keeping; ability to interpret data
• Conducts regular meetings with colleagues to discuss results of data analysis and corrective actions to be implemented.
• Ability to assist in fostering and driving a team-based environment.
• Ensures that staff have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their roles.
• Responsible for employee training, allocating and directing work.
• Investigates and resolves operational issues as they develop.
• Manage and Track inventory levels
• This is a floor position and will involve physically moving/processing products. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; daily cycle counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
