Description
- Manage the full cycle recruiting and selection process for new employees at Home Office, including reviewing staffing requisition forms, business cases, conducting pre-screen telephone interviews, scheduling in-person/virtual interviews, applicable reference and background checks, extending job offers and assisting with the coordination of the new-hire onboarding processes.
- Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Manage and maintain all job posts in the ATS, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organization’s Recruitment practices.
- Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements with the assistance of the Human Resources Business Partner team. This role will assist with the job evaluation process by participating in meetings evaluating positions using the Hay Job Evaluation Method.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify recruitment needs and assist with the development/updating of job descriptions and determine selection criteria for all positions for each Centre of Excellence.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork for Home Office new hires and submits to the payroll team.
- Coordinate and execute onboarding interviews with Home Office new hires within the first 30 days. Provide reports as required to the applicable teams within the Human Resources Centre of Excellence.
- Partners with the Service, Sales and Operations teams to assess the efficiency of existing talent acquisition processes and present recommendations for change.
- Source out and attend career fairs for recruitment purposes and to promote company as an employer of choice.
- Build and implement campaigns across various social media platforms to attract new applicants in partnership with the Marketing and Communications Centre of Excellence.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies, such as employer branding initiatives, and create innovative processes to attract candidates to our organization.
- Prepare, analyze and maintain various HR reports, measures and statistics related to recruitment, exit interviews, turnover etc.).
- Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by Centre of Excellence.
- Maintain organization’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and provide training as required.
- Partner with the Marketing and Communications teams, under the direction of the Manager, Talent, Culture and Employee Experience to lead employer branding initiatives.
- Work with the Manager, Equity Diversity Inclusion (EDI) and Employee Recognition to ensure talent acquisition practices are inclusive and free of biases.
- Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
Qualifications
- Completion of a university degree or college diploma with a focus on Human Resources Management.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods for sourcing candidates.
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
- Strong knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow
- A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and privacy pertaining to all candidates and employees and payroll records.
- Familiarity with job search websites (ie, Indeed, LinkedIn), recruitment software (ie, ADP Workforce Now), video conferencing platforms (ie, Microsoft Teams) and social media platforms (ie, Facebook, Instagram), is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
