Sr. Accountant, Advisory Team

Description

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare business valuations for transactions, reorganizations, and matrimonial purposes.
  • Prepare financial projections and business plans.
  • Assist with transaction-related activities such as conducting due diligence, performing working capital analyses, and liaising with key stakeholders to provide and collect relevant information.
  • Assist with the quantification of damages for legal disputes.
  • Other accounting work, such as forensic accounting for shareholder disputes, fraud allegations etc.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and professional reports related to the above.
Qualifications

A successful candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • CPA designation required.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in an accounting firm (or similar role in industry).
  • Prior experience with business valuations is an asset but not required.
  • A demonstrated interest in pursuing a Chartered Business Valuer (CBV) qualification, which will be fully funded by the Firm, is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to convey complex financial and technical concepts in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • A detail-oriented mindset, ensuring accuracy and reliability in all deliverables.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and client service.
