Sourcing & Procurement Specialist

Description
- Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
- Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
- Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
- Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
- Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
- Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Responsible for order fulfillment process; including receiving incoming shipments, processing and delivering on orders/outgoing shipments and managing any return transactions (RMA)
- Managing several couriers/freight forwarders through assessment, account set-up and shipments, tracking orders and notifying appropriate stakeholders of timelines / status etc.
- Manage office supply inventory.
- Responsible for shipping and receiving.
- Complete additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position is required
- Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is strongly preferred
- Experience with inventory management
- Proven experience in sourcing and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience working with LCC OEM manufacturers, specifically with Electronics Consumer Products
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
- Sound time-management and organizational skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure in an entrepreneurial small to medium sized business; ability to work with a sense of urgency within a fast paced and demanding work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
