Job Title: Senior Product Sales Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Analyzes blue prints and preliminary drawings
• Completes quality take-offs for all products required including trim and doors, exterior doors, siding and windows.
• Completes site measures for all Trim & Doors products.
• Hand off EWP, Trusses, and Lumber take off opportunities to Design and Sales staff.
• Deals directly with vendors and completes special orders as required.
• Seeks new business through referrals and cold calling
• Maintains a comprehensive account plan for assigned customers.
• Updates account information in company ERP and CRM (where required).
• Nurtures and sustains customer relationships through relationship-building activities, swag, etc.
• Keeps customers updates regarding promotions, policy changes, and other pertinent business information.
• Maintains sales logs.
• Prepares annual sales logs.
• Meets financial objectives by overseeing the management of accounts receivable for all assigned accounts.
• Built-it-Better coaching or retail customers.
• Works to integrate with customers social media platforms and puts signs on job sites we are supplying
• Works together with the Branch and Sales Teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Promotes all Lumber manufacturing divisions (Mill, Trusses, Floor Trusses, Panels, Lawson Lumber) & specialty divisions (Design Centre, Trim & Doors).
• Supports the Lumber Build-it-Better program.
• Participates in social media opportunities and assists the Marketing Team by providing relevant content for web and social media.
• Shares in the responsibility of taking inventory.
• Participates in branch and/or company lean projects.
• Ensures the availability of products and services through coordinating with Managers and Manufacturing plants to fill customer orders; arranging and prioritizing deliveries.
• Lead generation and follow through on referrals as provided to us by current customers; carpenters, framers, architects, designers etc
• Understands and follows all role specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Completes the sales onboarding 30/60/90 plan.
• Understands and works towards proficiency in all sales criteria.
• Actively seeks out opportunities to expand knowledge, through reading, website reviews, vendor presentations, etc.
• Completes Sandler Sales Training Bootcamp.
• Attends regular Sales Meetings.
• Completes BIB certifications in Windows/Doors, Siding, and Trim & Doors

Qualifications

Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School.
• Completion of a three-year College program in civil or construction engineering technology; or several years’ experience as a qualified tradesperson in a construction trade such as carpentry or plumbing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience of construction industry is an asset.
• Basic building code and residential framing knowledge
