Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, we are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeological/Dewatering Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing groundwater control systems for diverse construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering, along with hands-on experience in groundwater management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Oversee the design and implementation of complex dewatering and groundwater control systems for large-scale projects.
·Lead hydrogeological investigations, including advanced groundwater modeling, risk assessments, and impact studies.
·Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
·Contribute to business development and strategic planning within the dewatering practice.
·Identify and address groundwater-related challenges, offering innovative solutions to enhance system performance.
·Prepare detailed engineering reports, including design calculations, drawings, and recommendations.
·Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant scientific literature.
·Act in compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental Management.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, hydrogeological Engineering, or a related field is required. A master’s or Ph.D. degree is an asset.
·Professional Engineer (P.ENG) license or equivalent certification is required.
·6+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a specific focus on groundwater control measures.
·Expertise in advanced groundwater modeling software and techniques
·Strong communication skills in business writing, technical writing, public speaking, and presentation preparation.
·Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Demonstrate a strong self-learning ability, take responsibility for personal development, identify training needs, and request appropriate training as required.
·Very organized, heightened attention to detail, and punctual to deadlines.
