Description

Responsibilities:

New Business Development

  • Proactively pursue new business opportunities through market research, targeted outreach, and lead generation efforts. Identify key market segments and emerging opportunities to expand the company’s footprint and drive revenue growth.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to secure new business and close deals.
  • Take a hands-on approach in engaging with prospects, leading sales meetings, and negotiating contracts to drive booked sales and revenue growth.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Actively build and maintain strong relationships with high-potential clients, brokers, and industry partners. Engage regularly with prospects to understand their needs, present tailored solutions, and maximize sales potential.

Sales Pipeline & Deal Closing

  • Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a high conversion rate and a seamless experience for clients. Follow up diligently on leads, overcome objections, and drive deals to completion.

Customer Satisfaction & Retention

  • Take ownership of client concerns, address issues proactively, and provide solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Focus on retention strategies to maximize ongoing revenue.

Sales Accountability & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain a strong focus on personal sales targets and performance metrics. Track sales progress, follow best practices, and ensure timely updates on sales activities and forecasts.

Market Awareness & Competitive Edge

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs. Adapt sales strategies based on market intelligence to maintain a competitive advantage and capitalize on new opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives. Provide feedback on market trends and customer preferences to help refine offerings and messaging.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and key opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. (Master’s degree would be considered an asset).
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct sales experience within disability benefits management industry, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of personally closing high-value deals and consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong prospecting and negotiation skills, with a results-driven, go-getter mentality.
  • Deep understanding of the disability and benefits management sector.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities, with a focus on client engagement and long-term partnerships.
  • Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) is an asset but not required.
