Description
Responsibilities:
Demand Analysis & Forecasting:
- Build and maintain seasonal forecasting file from data provided.
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop accurate statistical demand forecasts.
- Utilize advanced statistical data to improve forecast accuracy and identify demand patterns and anomalies.
- Incorporate market intelligence and external data sources (e.g., social media trends, economic indicators) into forecasting models.
Automation & Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities and implement automation for repetitive data collection, cleaning, and reporting (such as help building seasonal presentation decks and assortments.)
- Develop and maintain reporting systems to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing demand planning processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & S&OP:
- Serve as the key point of contact for demand planning, collaborating with merchandising, sales, logistics and finance.
- Facilitate and actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process meetings.
- Communicate forecast risks, opportunities, and significant changes to various levels of business stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Inventory & Risk Management:
- Help monitor and track inventory levels to ensure alignment with forecasted demand, preventing shortage or overstock situations.
- Identify potential supply chain challenges and risks, developing mitigation strategies proactively.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and product phase-outs by developing appropriate demand plans and ensuring smooth transitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- High proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Advanced level in Excel.
- Experience with programming languages for advanced analytics and automation is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights for non-technical audiences.
- Proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge of the Golf and Tennis industries is an asset.
