In this role, you would:
• Contribute to the development of new thermal management products by quantifying how design decisions impact durability and longevity through FEA simulations (ex. road load vibration, shock and fatigue)
• Expand upon our heat transfer and analytical development group’s existing capabilities for durability and fatigue prediction by introducing more efficient workflows, new best practices and state-of-the-art simulation methodologies
• Establish simulation verification and validation protocols to identify areas of improvement in our workflow
• Help guide our product engineers in the selection of new materials and approaches that impact durability
• Contribute to invention records leading to patents or trade secrets

The ideal candidate would:
• Have a university degree in an area equivalent to Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. education levels will be considered)
• Have prior experience in finite element analysis for durability and fatigue life prediction
• Have prior experience using commercial software packages such as Abaqus, Nastran, Ansys, Hypermesh, FE-Safe, nCode etc.
• Be proficient in computer programming for data analysis purposes using a language such as Python, Matlab, C/C++ or R
