Production Planning Coordinator
Salary/Compensation
$55K - $60KPosition Summary
The Production Planning Coordinator will report to the Plant & Engineering Manager and will be responsible for meeting customer demands by planning, coordinating, and organizing the production orders. You will need to be knowledgeable of the products, customers, and internal transactional processes.
Responsibilities
• Perform systems transactions in ERP system, “Visual”
o Update promise dates
o Input labour
o Receive finished goods
o Create production work orders based on schedules
o Print drawings
• Create production schedules with guidance from Planner and Supervisors using engineering drawings and production specifications
• Monitor production activity and progress to ensure materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods are progressing according to the plan; highlight areas of concern for resolution with the team
• Coordinate schedule changes due to production problems, design changes or shortages
• Assist with evaluating production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tool, and manpower requirements
• General administrative work as required
• Update data for payroll and document changes to wage grade pay rates for payroll
• Update and maintain attendance spreadsheet
• Maintain overtime tracking system
• Conduct cycle counts
• Carry out Raw Materials Purchasing
Experience and Skill Required
• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience required
• 1+ years’ experience in a supply chain/manufacturing production environment
• Superior Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
• Excellent computer skills in general, able to quickly learn and use ERP system
• Experience with ERP Infor Visual is an asset
• Good interpersonal skills, teamwork orientation
• Good communication skills
• Analytical and well-organized
• Knowledge and experience using continuous improvement concepts
