Compensation Range
$100K - $125KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.

Description
- Monitoring key process parameters (loading rates, retention time, pH, temperature, gas yield, etc.) and adjusting operations to maintain stable and optimized plant performance.
- Conducting daily SCADA and site audits, identifying issues, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
- Troubleshooting process deviations or equipment-related issues, determining root causes, and putting preventive measures in place.
- Leading and supporting the Process Support Team (EITs, co‑ops, lab techs) through coaching, prioritization of tasks, and hands‑on guidance.
- Collaborating with the Operations Manager and Maintenance Leader to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure safe isolation and preparation procedures.
- Reviewing sampling and test results, ensuring compliance permits are met, and working with the Compliance Manager on regulatory reporting.
- Communicating process goals and KPI progress to the York team and ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Participating in cross‑department communication with Engineering, Process, and Maintenance teams in Canada and the Netherlands.
- Hosting or supporting facility tours and providing technical explanations of the process when required.
Qualifications
- Hold a post‑secondary degree or diploma in a science‑related field (biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, process engineering, etc.).
- Bring a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Possess knowledge of anaerobic digestion processes and biological treatment of organic waste streams (asset).
- Have experience with SCADA and measuring/control technologies (asset).
- Demonstrate intermediate computer skills (MS Office, SCADA, ERP).
- Fluency in English is required.
- Have strong attention to detail and ensure accurate input and analysis of information.
- Are a hands‑on leader who is comfortable being on the floor, observing operations, and leading by example.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Excel at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in a dynamic operational environment.
