PACKAGING COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Packaging Coordinator
REPORTS TO: President

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Packaging Coordinator’s primary role is to manage packaging projects for clients assigned to them. This is ownership of projects from initiation, including but not limited to work back schedules, receipt and communication of instructions to all departments, approvals from clients as required, estimating and invoicing.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities:

• Responsible for strong interaction with Sales, Production and the Account Manager Team.
• Be open to support other team members if the need arises in case of workload.
• Assist in managing customer relationships and building strong business relationships in an increasingly complex workflow, balancing client needs with operational responsibilities.
• Responding to clients in a timely and professional manner, based on client and company expectations.
• Responsible for managing Ziflow and uploading of proofs for clients.
• Responsible for liaising and communicating with customers directly to ensure order specifications are captured accurately and fulfillment requirements are attainable.
• Responsible to ensure that all required project documents, approvals, files and information are supplied in an organized manner to the team.
• Attend weekly client status and production meetings to discuss high-priority projects and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure continuity and accuracy of design, layout, print and production.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, continually prioritizing and multi-tasking.
• Look to find efficient ways for jobs to be completed in the most cost effective way.
• Provide on-going support for sales reps when clients request information.
• Manage external vendors when required.
• QC all output prior to sending to clients for each step of the project.
• Acquire estimates (Internal and External) and provide to customers.
• Invoicing dockets in a timely manner.

Secondary responsibilities:
● Assist team with resolution in any print issues and resolving any quality, design or other production related matters.
● Review and/or create work back schedules when required.

Qualifications

Skills required:
• Previous packaging and production experience required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to details.
• Have logical problem-solving skills and be creative in troubleshooting.
• Have a willingness to learn and do what it takes to get the job done.
