OEM Sales Specialist

Description
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and increase sales to OEM accounts, including manufacturers of all types of equipment that may require (client) parts, products and solutions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including engineers, procurement teams and OEM executives.
- Identify new business opportunities, analyze customer needs and propose appropriate solutions using the company’s products.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and training sessions to inform OEM customers about product applications and benefits.
- Research and monitor market trends, competitive landscape and industry developments to refine sales strategies.
- Work closely with engineering, product management and customer support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and technical support.
- Drive specification development and product adoption in targeted OEM accounts.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, including contract and pricing negotiations.
- Travel frequently throughout Quebec to visit OEM customers and attend industry events (10-25% overnight travel expected).
- Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts and market analyses to management.
Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or related field preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience, with a strong background in mechanical systems and OEM sales.
- Experience with compressor manufacturers, pump manufacturers or other industrial equipment OEMsis highly desirable.
- Proven ability to develop relationships with engineers, procurement teams and senior management.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex mechanical concepts.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the Quebec region.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
