Responsibilities:
Inventory Control Specialist is needed to oversee and optimize inventory management processes within our manufacturing and distribution operations. This role is critical to ensuring inventory accuracy, minimizing production disruptions, and maintaining a seamless flow of materials through the supply chain. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of inventory systems, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods.
- Oversee physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation efforts across multiple production areas and warehouses.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and areas for optimization; recommend strategic improvements to inventory policies.
- Ensure the cost/retail values in the system are accurate & relate to sales team.
- Maintain/update inventory records with; new items, inactive products, pricing and inventory counts.
- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Quality Assurance teams to support accurate material planning and avoid supply disruptions.
- Audit POs to ensure correct coding is being used and training employees on how to check for correct coding in system to ensure our inventory stays accurate between inventory counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, root cause issues, and systemic errors.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica), ensuring data integrity and real-time visibility.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on inventory systems and processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards in inventory handling and reporting.
- Support audits and ensure inventory documentation meets internal and external audit requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory control or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in inventory management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
- Must have strong analytical skills, good communication and highly organized with good time management. Experience in Office 365 and strong Excel skills (intermediate).

- Proven ability to drive process improvements and lead cross-functional projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies strongly preferred.
