Description

Job Title: HR Manager
Responsibilities:
• As a trusted partner of the assigned client groups, participate within their leadership teams to bring insights, an independent viewpoint and HR expertise to all issues
• Consult with the business leaders to act on people related topics to meet business requirements
• Utilize the HR subject matter experts to derive the best solutions and lead the implementation of HR programs and initiatives
• Consult with Health & Safety as required
• Coach talent management capability, and culture engagement.
• Play a key role in facilitating changes to organizational culture, design, structure, and workforce planning
• Actively recruit for diverse hourly and salaried talent
• Build and sustain beneficial relationships with search firms
• Partner with the Total Rewards lead to support leaders with compensation, promotions, and job changes
• Short Term & Long-Term disability management support
• Provide support for Labour & Employee Relations as required
• Facilitate talent reviews and support leaders with development actions
• Workplace Investigations
• Coach and enable leaders to be more effective people leaders
• Provide leadership and coaching to leaders on key workplace matters such as performance management, difficult conversations, employee relations, and employee development.
• Maintain positive and sustainable relationships with all departments and team members
• Support the stages of the employee life cycle including effective exit interviews & reporting
• Work in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Support leaders and team members with any questions or processes related to company policies, and HR procedures

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Successful completion of post-Secondary Education through accredited institution
• CHRM or other HR certification
• Five (5) or more years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager
• Progressive human resources experience in a manufacturing facility
• Ability to work in a confidential and professional manner
• Excellent interpersonal and organization skills
• Ability to work independently with good time management skills
• Excellent computer skills in word processing programs and spread sheets (Word/Excel)
