Job Title: HRBP (Human Resources Business Partner)
(12 Month Maternity Leave Coverage)
This 12-month contract role will provide tactical HR support to managers and employees on staffing, employee relations, benefits, time tracking and other HR related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Mediates and resolves employee relations issues; conducts thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Proactively explores ways and makes recommendations to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention.
- Utilizes metrics and reporting to analyze data trends. Provides regular reporting to business to help inform people-related decisions.
- Ensures regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with the legal department when necessary.
- Assist with the recruitment process for new hires.
- Provide oversight of sales contract and compensation agreements. Collaborate with compensation and sales management on designing and administering sales incentive programs.
- Composes employee communications on payroll and benefits related matters.
- Maintains HRIS and ensures all information is accurate and up to date. Produces reports as required by management.
- Maintains all HR employment documentation and records to ensure complete employee files.
- Assists with coordinating yearly performance appraisal process and acts as a resource for managers and staff.
- Liaises with Corporate Human Resources as needed on assignments, projects, and tasks
- Maintains accurate job descriptions for all positions.
- Interprets human resources policy to company management.
- Partners with training department to develop training plans for workforce segments and ensures that training objectives are met.
- Maintains professionalism, discretion and confidentiality in all matters.
- Stays current with employment legislation.
- Maintain internal reporting metrics necessary for the Human Resources department and assist with ad hoc reporting needs.
- Collects and tracks detailed insights on workforce and facilitates succession planning activities.
- Engages with all stakeholders with a superior service orientation.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex difficult issues.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Problem analysis, assessment and solving.
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices and candidate interviewing.
- Knowledge of relevant provincial employment legislation including Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, WSIB, and AODA.
- Advanced Computer skills (Office, Excel, Word, Power point) and knowledge HR related software.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Training / Education / Experience Qualifications
- Degree in related field with 3-5 years Human Resources experience.
- CHRP designation an asset.
- Bilingual (French speaking) an asset.
