HR Generalist

Description
  • Manage, review, and monitor all time and attendance through Ceridian payroll system.
  • Administer the corporate group benefit administration for medical/dental, group RRSP, health and wellness programs, including enrolling, terminating, and assist in annual renewal meetings.
  • Collaborate with the human resources team to support recruiting based on workload; assist in job descriptions creation, postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage orientation and onboarding process, including creating new hire and training documentation.
  • Administer and maintain HR KPI’s, HR tracking and other reporting as required.
  • Participate in the JHSC program, creating meeting minutes and following up with H&S on outstanding items.
  • Participate in health and safety initiatives, such as incidents, accidents and completing all required documentation and partner with the H&S Supervisor to determine root cause and corrective action.
  • Participate in the organizing of, and attendance at, corporate events; job fairs, employee gatherings and/or workshops.
  • Provide support to the Director and HR Specialist on related projects or programs that require development and implementation.
  • Act as the backup for payroll administration, and recruitment, as required.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and department policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a University degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of a post graduate diploma, in Human Resources.
  • Understanding of all legislative requirements; ESA, Human Rights Code, OSHA and be able to develop documentation accordingly.
  • Intermediate level experience working within payroll administration systems, HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Working within a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Ability to work cohesively with senior management teams, supervisors, and employees, with objectivity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve conflicts and problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to maintain an excellent rapport with external and internal customers.
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
