General Bookkeeper – 15 Month Contract

Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Through financial and business analysis drive better, faster decisions, EBITDA improvement, and increased customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support finance-related initiatives and projects.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
- Maintain capital asset, capital lease, prepaid, and accrued liabilities schedules.
- Prepare monthly government remittances.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Supporting monthly and yearly inventory counts.
- Supporting the year-end audit.
- General accounting duties.
- Other ad-hoc analysis and office administration as required.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Highschool diploma, post secondary education in Accounting/ Bookkeeping preferred
