Compensation Range
$75K - $125KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
Description
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for watermain, sewer, and road construction projects
- Analyze project scope and requirements to determine materials, equipment, and labor costs
- Prepare and submit bids to potential clients in a timely manner
- Collaborate with project managers and coordinators, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate estimating and bid preparation
- Track and review project costs to ensure profitability and cost efficiency
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- Assist in the procurement of materials and subcontractor services
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in the watermain, sewer, and road construction industry
- Extensive knowledge of civil construction processes, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and locates
- Valid G driver’s license minimum and ability to travel to various job sites within the GTA area
