E-commerce Business & Data Analyst

Description
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis
- Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders
- Map out user journeys, process flows, and edge cases (e.g., checkout, returns, product filtering)
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and marketers to ensure features align with business goals
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by writing test cases, logging bugs, and tracking resolution
- Prioritize backlog items and assist with post-launch enhancement planning
Data Analysis
- Set up or verify ecommerce tracking in GA4 (including events, conversions, and funnels)
- Define key KPIs for site performance (e.g., conversion rate, cart abandonment, AOV)
- Build lightweight dashboards or reports (using Excel, Google Data Studio, or similar)
- Conduct data-driven evaluations of user behavior and pain points post-launch

Qualifications
Required:
- Must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent level of secondary education. Additional certifications or post-secondary education are considered an asset.
- 2–4 years in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or Product/Project Management
- Experience with the Shopify ecommerce platform
- Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort with agile tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, etc.)
Bonus:
- Basic SQL or experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- UX familiarity (wireframes, usability testing, user feedback synthesis)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a lean/startup environment
