Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our automotive dealership. As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial aspects of our dealership operations. Your primary responsibilities will include managing financial reporting, analyzing financial data, implementing internal controls, and providing strategic recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other relevant reports for management and external stakeholders.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the dealership’s annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, providing recommendations for improvement. Prepare forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
3. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights on cost management, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization. Collaborate with department heads to review and improve financial performance.
4. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard dealership assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Conduct periodic audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
5. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, forecasting future cash needs, and managing working capital effectively. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.
6. Financial Strategy: Work closely with the management team to develop and execute financial strategies that support the dealership’s growth objectives. Provide financial analysis and recommendations for investment opportunities, acquisitions, and expansion plans.
7. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, vendors, and suppliers. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to secure financing and optimize vendor relationships.
8. Team Leadership: Oversee and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
10. Technology and Systems: Stay updated with advancements in financial technology and systems. Identify and implement tools and software to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or college degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within the automotive dealership industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
4. Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems.
7. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
