Construction Operations Manager

Description
- Project Planning and Scheduling – manage field crews/project coordinators. develop detailed construction plans, timelines and schedules. Ensure project milestones are met and tasks are completed on time.
- Resource Management – allocate and manage all resources, including labor, materials and equipment. Ensure availability of materials and timely procurement to avoid project delays. Manage subcontractors.
- Budget Management – develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control. Monitor expenses and track costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Manage monthly progress billing on current jobs. Estimating/Costing on future projects.
- Quality Control and Safety management – work with H&S coordinator to implement and enforce safety protocols on job sites. Monitor quality of work and resolve any issues. Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise construction teams. Work with project management team to coordinate field work. Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates.
- Reporting and Communication: provide regular updates on project progress, budget status, and potential risks to project owner/senior management. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
- Develop and manage KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a construction manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, construction drawings
- Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Time management and ability to multi task
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
