Overview:
Reporting directly to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across multiple departments, including sales, finance, logistics, and product development. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in business intelligence, SQL, Power BI, and data analysis, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain, and enhance business intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Perform in-depth analysis of sales, inventory, and financial data to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improving business performance.
- Collaborate with teams across departments to understand reporting needs and deliver customized reporting solutions.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests by quickly generating reports and insights to support business needs.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models to predict future sales, inventory levels, and other key business metrics.
- Use historical data and trends to help inform business decisions and support planning processes.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on business performance, including forecasts, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Work with the Oracle NetSuite ERP system to ensure data is integrated seamlessly for reporting and analysis.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and load data for BI purposes.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports.
- Support BI projects by collaborating with stakeholders, gathering data requirements, and delivering reporting solutions.
- Maintain an understanding of Giftcraft’s data infrastructure to assist in ongoing improvements and data quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and implement automation where applicable.
- Stay up to date with new BI tools and technologies to enhance the team’s capabilities.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in a data-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite, is a plus.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and provide actionable business insights.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
