Compensation Range
$115K - $126KCompensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.
Description
Claims & Dispute Management
- Review and respond to customer demand letters
- Defend and represent Client in Small Claims Court and CAMVAP matters (virtual or in-person).
- Collaborate with Customer Relations to foster early, customer-centric resolution of customer
Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise with dealers, field staff, and internal teams to review and respond to customer
- Coordinate regular alignment meetings between Legal and Customer
- Prepare monthly management
Legal Support & Research
- Provide timely risk-based legal
- Conduct legal and jurisdictional research.
- Prepare witnesses for hearings and assist with departmental
- Support Service Capacity Planning aligned with Business Development strategies, supporting short-, and long term requirements, including both physical and human capacities
Qualifications
Formal Education:
- Associate Degree I College Degree
- Licensed Paralegal in good standing with a Canadian Law Society
Experience:
- 5+ years of litigation experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed Paralegal in good standing with a Canadian Law Society
- Fully bilingual in English and
- Strong advocacy and hearing representation experience.
- Knowledge of Small Claims Court rules and
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of files
- Asset: Automotive sector
Work Flexibility:
- This position is fully remote
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel up to 50% throughout Canada, including periodic trips to our corporate offices in Ajax, Ontario
