Description

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Hiring:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations  to identify hiring needs and filter candidates using platforms such as LinkedIn.
    • Conduct interviews and participate in the selection process.
  • Training & Onboarding:
    • Oversee training programs and onboarding processes in collaboration with our Executive Assistant  to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • HR Operations:
    • Assist in managing and delegating HR-related administrative tasks currently handled by Executive Assistants, including onboarding documentation and meeting coordination.
    • Participate in aligning job descriptions and contributing to the development of new HR policies, alongside the existing employee handbook currently under staff review.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives.
    • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and conflict resolution.
  • Union Management:
    • Work collaboratively with bargaining units in Quebec and Ontario, ensuring compliance with collective agreements and fostering strong labour relations.
  • Compliance & Policy Development:
    • Collaborate with the Director of Operations in developing and implementing new HR policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Support the SOC 2 certification process in collaboration with IT and Administrative personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on recruitment, training, and employee relations.
  • Strong experience working with unions, particularly in Quebec and Ontario.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrated initiative, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is a must.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools is a plus.
