Accreditation Project Manager

Description

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for accreditation preparation, ensuring timely completion of all key milestones.
  • Lead cross-departmental teams to assess current practices, identify gaps, and implement improvements in line with accreditation standards.
  • Track and report on progress, ensuring that all activities align with accreditation timelines and objectives.
  • Coordinate internal audits and mock surveys to ensure readiness for the accreditation review.

Consultation and Guidance:

  • Serve as the organization’s expert on accreditation standards, including Accreditation Canada and other relevant bodies.
  • Provide strategic advice to departments on aligning policies, procedures, and processes with accreditation requirements.
  • Lead educational workshops and training sessions to enhance understanding of accreditation expectations across the organization.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure all documentation is complete, up-to-date, and accessible for the accreditation review process.
  • Support the development and revision of policies and procedures to reflect best practices and accreditation standards.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and compile reports for submission to accrediting bodies.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Recommend and oversee the implementation of quality improvement initiatives that align with accreditation standards and drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of post-accreditation strategies to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate certificate, diploma or graduate degree in Healthcare Management, Quality Improvement, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare accreditation, project management, or quality assurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., Accreditation Canada, CARF).
  • Proven experience in successfully leading accreditation projects in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle complex initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

  • Detail-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

 

Professional Designation/Certificate:

  • Postgraduate certificate, diploma or graduate degree in Healthcare Management, Quality Improvement, or related discipline an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset.
