Accounting Manager

Description
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as Accounting Manager. As the Accounting Manager, you will be an integral part of the team, assisting the President, Care Managers, Care Coordinators, caregivers, and clients in various capacities. You will be responsible for all of the accounting and bookkeeping tasks, office administration, financial and operational reporting, and will be reporting to the President. You will need to be a highly organized individual who can multitask and offer support when needed.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit client billing, manage invoicing, apply payments and manage receivables.
- Communicate billing policies and pricing changes to clients.
- Audit caregiver records and facilitate payroll through Payworks payroll system.
- Attend meetings, keep up to date on client and caregiver activities, and assist with operational reporting.
- QuickBooks data entry/calculations. Includes invoicing, payroll, bank reconciliations, and deposits.
- Provide support and office administration as required.
- WSIB reporting, Government filing (i.e., HST, Source Deductions, T4’s, T5018 and Taxes, etc.)
- Manage caregiver PPE and maintain office supplies, IT and other office equipment.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an accounting, finance or office manager.
- Solid accounting experience using accounting software mandatory (preferably QuickBooks).
- Proficient with Office 365, Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint.
- Ability to be professional and maintain CONFIDENTIALITY at all times.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is PREFERRED.
