Operations Manager

Description
- Accountable for establishing and maintaining a safe, productive working environment through enforcement of company policies and procedures, in compliance with government rules and regulations
- Manage Joint Health & Safety Committee, maintain update to date Health & Safety Program and Policies
- Manage the morale in the facility by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic
- Coordination of panel shop and scheduling, interface with engineering team to ensure customer timelines are met, and provide communication of production scheduling across teams (generate production scheduling report)
- Coordination of operational systems, processes, and best practices – material purchases, inventory planning, and warehouse efficiency
- Monitor facility performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made, and corrective actions are taken if necessary
- Review, develop and implement operational policies and procedures
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors to ensure effective purchasing cost control, and maintain MISYS database, pricing and part numbers
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a business or technical field
- 5+ years of previous management experience with proven leadership abilities
- Clear and solid understanding of policies, practices, procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Provincial and Federal Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
- Demonstrated ability to instill a culture of high performance, accountability, and quality
- Demonstrated interpersonal savvy and relationship management/networking skills
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
