Compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, and may also be influenced by internal equity and market conditions.

Description
  • Project Delivery & Governance – Establish execution plan, WBS, budgets, and risk register; maintain baseline and manage change, claims, and delays; drive weekly cost/schedule control (EV, CPI/SPI).
  • Contract & Commercial Management – Administer prime contracts (DB/DBB/CM/Alliance/P3) and subcontracts; lead RFI, RFC, CO/PCO, and pay‑app cycles; protect entitlements and maintain contemporaneous records.
  • Planning & Scheduling – Build integrated CPM schedules; sequence civil, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal work; coordinate outages and commissioning windows.
  • Procurement & Logistics – Source major equipment (chillers, boilers, pumps, AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, ductwork, piping, valves, controls); manage factory witness tests; orchestrate JIT deliveries.
  • Field Coordination – Lead daily/weekly coordination with site supervisors/forepersons; ensure look a heads, daily reports, and constraint removal; resolve clashes and access constraints.
  • Quality & Safety Leadership – Implement organizations Quality & Safety methodology; lead ITPs, test plans, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and turnover; ensure OHSA compliance and permit/inspection readiness.
  • Stakeholder & Interface Management – Engage owners, designers, CM, utilities, transit operators, and regulatory bodies; chair progress meetings; manage third‑party interfaces.
  • Digital Delivery & Reporting – Use Procore (or equivalent) for document control, cost, field reports, dashboards; produce executive briefs on milestones, risks, and recovery plans.
  • People & Culture – Model extreme ownership and clear communications; mentor coordinators/engineers; foster collaboration across self‑perform trades and subcontractors.

What You’ll Work On (typical mechanical systems)

  • Plumbing systems: domestic water, sanitary, storm, specialty piping, pumps, and fixtures.
  • HVAC systems: chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, ductwork, piping, insulation, and controls.
  • Sheet Metal systems: fabrication and installation of ductwork, plenums, and ventilation components.
Qualifications
  • 10–15+ years’ progressive project delivery experience in mechanical construction, with 5–8+ years managing large projects ($15M+) end‑to‑end.
  • Proven success delivering complex projects in unionized environments; familiarity with relevant mechanical trades and practices is an asset.
  • Transit/subway station project experience (TTC/Metrolinx or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Technical depth in plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal systems, and commissioning.
  • Strong commercial acumen (contracts, change/claims, schedule delay analysis).
  • Proficiency with Procore (preferred), Primavera/MS Project, Bluebeam, and standard construction workflows.
  • Degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or equivalent; P.Eng./CET or PMP an asset.
